Using OneNote’s handy Send to OneNote Tool, you can quickly clip items on your Windows desktop screen and send to a notebook. You can also send other Microsoft Office files or web pages. The Send to OneNote Tool sits on the desktop ready to use when you start the OneNote program.
Open the item you want to send (a Word document is used in this example) and display the Windows taskbar.
Click the Send to OneNote Tool.
Click Send to OneNote.
Choose the notebook, page, or section where you want to send the item.
Click OK.
OneNote adds the item as directed. In this example, the item is inserted as a new section in a notebook.
Tip
Sending Other Items You can use the Screen Clipping button to cut out an area of the screen to send to OneNote as a clipping. You can use the New Quick Note button to open a pane for jotting down a note to send to OneNote.
