Using Particle Effects Scripts

The Scripts, Particle Effects menu includes several different scripts that automate the creation of certain types of useful particle layers. The available particle effects scripts include the following:

  • Energy Cloud: Opens a dialog box where you can choose a color. This color is used to create circles that fill the working area.

  • Explosion: Opens a dialog box where you can specify a direction and a spread. The effect includes smoke and flames.

  • Rain: Adds a subtle rain effect to the scene.

  • Smoke: Opens the Smoke dialog box shown in Figure 31.8, where you can change the smoke color, particle, and flame lifetime, and one of five styles: Cloud, Plume, Narrow, Medium, and Wide.
