The Scripts, Particle Effects menu includes several different scripts that automate the creation of certain types of useful particle layers. The available particle effects scripts include the following:
Energy Cloud: Opens a dialog box where you can choose a color. This color is used to create circles that fill the working area.
Explosion: Opens a dialog box where you can specify a direction and a spread. The effect includes smoke and flames.
Smoke: Opens the Smoke dialog box shown in Figure 31.8, where you can change the smoke color, particle, and flame lifetime, and one of five styles: Cloud, Plume, Narrow, Medium, and Wide.
Snow: Adds slowly falling snow particles to the scene.
Sparkles: Opens a dialog box where you can choose a color. This color is used to create randomly moving particles that extend from the center of the working area and slowly dissipate.
Figure 31.9 shows the smoke and rain particle effects.
