Rendering Notes

By default, notes are set not to be rendered, but if you disable the Don’t Render This Layer option in the General panel of the Layer Settings dialog box, the note will be rendered along with the scene. Within the General panel, you can also alter the Visible option and the Blur and Opacity values. Figure 24.10 shows several duplicated layers of notes slowly being blurred.

Figure 24.10. Note text can be blurred.

Changing Note Colors

If you open the Shadows panel in the Layer Settings dialog box, you can enable the Layer Shading option to set the text color, but the Offset, Blur, and Contraction values have no effect on the note text. You can also enable the Layer Shadow to give the note text a shadow. If you set the Offset and Blur values to 0 and the Expansion value to 10, you can create a colored background for the note text, as shown with the jumbled color example in Figure 24.11.

Figure 24.11. Note text can be colored and shadowed.

Note

Layer colors and shadows only show up when the project is rendered.
