Documenting Your Work with Notes

Notes can be used to document your work between team members or just to remind yourself of something. To create a note, simply create a note layer using the New Layer button in the Layers palette and select the Note option from the pop-up menu. This creates a note layer and opens the Layer Settings dialog box with the Note panel selected, as shown in Figure 24.8.

The Note panel includes a simple text field for adding text. After entering some text and clicking the OK button, the note is added to the working area. The note layer can be transformed just like other layers. Figure 24.9 shows a project with a note layer added.

Each layer can hold only a single note. If you need more notes, you must add another layer for each additional note.
