Once you’ve figured out how to apply fills and strokes to shapes, you can use the Style palette to create all kinds of effects. Although the Style palette is a relatively simple palette, it includes many settings that control the look and style of fills and strokes.

The Style palette can add a lot more than just fill and stroke colors. Fills and strokes can have a wide variety of effects applied, which can include shaded effects, halos, gradients, and even bitmap textures. The Style palette also lets you specify a specific brush to use when drawing strokes. Finally, the Style palette lets you save and apply defined styles making it easy to reuse consistent designs.
