Although Anime Studio is a vector-based software package, it still has the capability to work with pixel-based images by using image layers. These images need to be imported into the image layer. In fact, when you create a new image layer, a File dialog box opens so that you can import a pixel-based image. Imported video clips are also placed on image layers.

Image layers can be moved, scaled, and rotated, but Anime Studio doesn’t include any pixel-editing tools. Any image editing will need to be accomplished in an external program.
