Using the Playback Buttons

You use the playback buttons, shown in Figure 16.4, to view the current animation. They are located in the lower-left corner of the main window. The playback buttons include the following:

  • Previous Keyframe: This button moves to the frame where the previous key-fame is located.

  • Rewind: This button rewinds the animation back to the first frame.

  • Step Back (left arrow): This button moves the animation back one frame.

  • Play/Stop (Spacebar): This button starts the animation at the specified frame rate. The button changes to a Stop button when an animation is playing.

  • Step Forward (right arrow): This button moves the animation forward one frame.

  • Jump to End: This button jumps the animation to the last frame in its range.

  • Next Keyframe: This button moves to the frame where the next keyframe is located.

Tip

The Spacebar is used to start and stop an animation. You can also use the left and right arrows to move back and forward one frame.


Tip

The playback buttons will work whether you right- or left-click them.

The Previous and Next Keyframe buttons are new to Anime Studio 6.
