The Anime Studio interface seems to work well, but there are some “gotchas” that might be causing you trouble. This is true especially if you’ve used many other software packages that don’t work the same way as Anime Studio. For instance, in other packages like Maya and Photoshop, you can use the Tab key to quickly hide all open palettes, but in Anime Studio the Tab key is used to select connected points.

If learning a whole new set of keyboard shortcuts is slowing you down, you can tinker under the hood and change the tool and menu keyboard shortcuts along with many other configurations. I mean, who wants to use the packaged Anime Studio when you can change it to read, “My Awesome Animation Machine.”
