Uploading to YouTube and Facebook

Anime Studio includes features that let you upload your animation directly to YouTube. Within the Preferences dialog box, which is opened using the Edit, Preferences menu, is a panel labeled Video Uploads, as shown in Figure 34.6. Using this panel, you can enter your YouTube username and password.

The Project Settings dialog box includes options in the Dimensions drop-down list for YouTube and YouTube HD. Selecting either of these options will format the project resolution for YouTube. Once this information is entered, you can use the File, Upload to YouTube menu command.

New Feature

The ability to upload animations directly to YouTube is new to Anime Studio 6.

The File menu also includes an option to Upload to Facebook. This works by letting you select a rendered movie. You then need to log into your Facebook account and give the Smith Micro Video Uploader permission to upload the video. This is a setting that you can enable in the Edit Applications Page. Once permission has been granted, Anime Studio presents a dialog box allowing you to continue with the upload.

Note

The Upload to Facebook feature was added to Anime Studio in version 6.1.
