Cutting, Copying, and Pasting Points

When two or more points are selected, you can use the Cut (Ctrl/Cmd+X), Copy (Ctrl/Cmd+C), and Paste (Ctrl/Cmd+V) menu commands in the Edit menu to copy the selected points to a buffer where they can be pasted back into the project. When a curve is pasted, it appears in its original location. If the original object still remains because you did a Copy command, the pasted curve won’t be visible, but if you move one of the selected sets of points, the pasted copy will be visible.

Note

Whenever a curve is pasted in the working area, the Translate Points tool is automatically selected regardless of the selected tool when the paste is done.

Moving Points Between Layers

When curves are pasted back into a project, they are pasted into the current layer. This provides a way to move objects between layers using the Cut, Copy, and Paste commands.
