Acknowledgments

After writing the successful official guide for Smith Micro’s Poser, the Smith Micro guys seemed to be rather happy about the results, so happy that when we presented the idea of covering yet another one of their products, they were quick to lend all the support that we needed. What a great team to work with.

Along with my praises for the Smith Micro personnel, I need to quickly extend my thanks and adulation to the Cengage Learning people. This is a great group that I’m happy to call my friends. First on the list for this project is Heather, who was quick to get the new version approved and under way.

Thanks also to the various editors who helped along the way, including Steve Yatson, who has shared his expertise as the technical editor.

I’ve also really enjoyed working closely with the team at Smith Micro. I got a chance to spend some time with them at Siggraph and was impressed with their dedication to the product and their willingness to address any issues or questions I had. Huge kudos to Steve Cooper, Steve Rathmann, and Steve Yatson.

A huge thanks also to Mike Clifton, the creator of Anime Studio, for his dedication and tireless work in helping the program to be what it is—an amazing piece of software. Thanks also to the various forum members on the Lost Marble site. Whenever I was stuck or lost, I could turn to the forum to find the answers I needed.

As always, I’d like to thank my family, without whose support I’d never get to the end of a book. To Angela, for her patience—maybe we should work on finishing the basement now, eh? To Eric, who needs my help to finish Half Life and Metal Gear Solid, and to Thomas, who is busy with karate practice and a great job on getting straight A’s.
