Agreements with Elance

Certain default agreements are established when you become a member of Elance and later when you enter into your first transactions. The Terms of Service are agreed to when you open your account. Terms of Service

The Terms of Service can be accessed from the menu in the middle of the page. As with many legal documents, this document serves as a great cure for insomnia. However, it also lays out the full deal between all parties involved: the contractor, client, and Elance.

Service Agreements

One of two service agreements is automatically entered into with Elance when you award, or are awarded, a job. For standard transactions, it’s titled the Services Agreement between Client and Contractor. For those using the Elance payroll service, the Elance Payroll Services Agreement is the default. These provide the fine print in what the two parties agree to.
