Hiring Online vs. In Person

You might think that hiring online is a bit like being asked to pick someone for a date while being blindfolded and gagged. I mean, you can’t see them or talk to them in person. How on earth can you trust them with your project and end up even having to pay them?

Many clients say the advantages of hiring online actually outweigh the disadvantages. As you’ll see, you do have many advantages online that your brick-and-mortar associates don’t. One of the best features is you have instant access to talent from across the globe, not just your own town or city.

Remember, many of the qualities you’re looking for online are the same as those in person. They will simply appear differently. You want someone who acts professionally, is on time, speaks clearly and thoughtfully, and has the background and credentials to show they’ve done something at least similar to what you’re asking.

All these aspects can be “seen” online, too. So take your hiring know-how, and use it online. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel. The biggest difference is you probably won’t meet face-to-face. But looks can deceive and actions speak.
