Joan Preppernau has worked in the training and certification industry for 12 years. As President of Online Training Solutions, Inc. (OTSI), Joan is responsible for guiding the translation of technical information and requirements into useful, relevant, and measurable training, learning, and certification deliverables. Joan is a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, a Microsoft Certified Application Specialist Instructor, and the author or coauthor of more than two dozen books about Windows and Office (for Windows and for Mac).

Joan enjoys a blissful life in America’s Finest City—San Diego, California—with her husband, Barry, and their young daughter, Trinity, who has appropriated one of Mommy’s laptops so she can write her own book about computers—and will undoubtedly create a bestseller as soon as she masters basic reading and writing skills.
