Using Your E-Book As the Basis of a Digital Product
Your e-book is already a stand-alone product, but if you want, you can easily add new elements to create an expanded — and, potentially, higher-priced — product. Authors commonly enhance their nonfiction (rather than fiction) products, though if you’re a novelist, you can create a package of novels, short stories, audio, and even videos related to your fiction.
Digital products can contain any element produced in digital format: text, audio, graphics, video content, or even software. You can add to your e-book several text worksheets or a spreadsheet that readers can download, or include audio files that you’ve recorded with experts in your field. If your e-book teaches a computer-related topic, such as how to set up your own website, include code or graphics to help readers get up to speed quickly.
