An Overview of Client Deployment Options
Two primary installation and deployment technologies are available within Visual Studio: ClickOnce and InstallShield. Both of these vehicles are similar in that they enable you to move binaries and components from one location and install them onto a target client machine. But there are definitely pros and cons to dealing with each.
