New features were being developed by Linden Labs in 2013 for Second Life, such as the server side baking of
avatar features, the inclusion of the CHUI (communications hub user interface), and a new materials system
(STORM-1905 project). These and other Second Life and OpenSim code changes have had an impact on the
third-party viewers and challenge their development groups to keep improving their code.
