DAY 84 | NATURE & LANDSCAPES |
The lush greens of summer, soft white snow in the winter, spring skies with billowing clouds—they’re all sublime but nothing can compare to autumn color.
The vibrant hues of red, yellow and orange standard at sunrise or sunset are rivaled by the intense blaze of a sugar maple tree with its saturated elegance. When autumn color is at its peak, even mundane objects like a tree house take on an air of grandeur.
Recording the scene with a camera needn’t be difficult. Simply pick the desired view, and wait until the scene is properly illuminated. Make sure there isn’t anything in the background, then with the camera on a sturdy tripod, set it to a high number f/stop in Aperture Priority mode. This will ensure detailed depth of field, and with a 10-second delay, capture the color. —WTD
