DAY 234 | NATURE & LANDSCAPES |
Rivers and streams carry water into lakes and ponds. They can move slowly or roar around curves and over rocks. Sometimes the current can be deceiving. What may appear to be a calm, placid flow of water can in fact be moving swiftly. But when the roar of rapids reverberates, there’s no doubt. . . that water is really traveling, and the power behind it is incredible.
Watching water flow over rocks can be fascinating, even mesmerizing. Imagine where the water came from—a bubbling pool a few miles from where you sit or a crack in the rocks on the side of a mountain half a continent away.
When it’s time to leave, taking a picture can help you relive those thoughtful moments. To effectively capture water flowing over the rocks, set your camera on a tripod and use a slow shutter speed. —WTD
