Each design template includes several color schemes (p. 39) from which you can choose. A color scheme is a set of eight coordinated colors that apply to the following parts of your slides:
Background
Text and lines
Shadows
Title text
Fills
Accent

For example, you may like a basic design template, but prefer to use different colors. Or you may want to use the same presentation for both onscreen and overhead delivery, but they require different color schemes.
To apply a new color scheme to your presentation, follow these steps:
Choose Format, Slide Color Scheme to open the Color Scheme dialog box, shown in Figure 6.11.
In the Color Scheme group box, select the new color scheme that you want to apply. To preview what it will look like, click the Preview button.
Tip
You may have to move the Color Scheme dialog box by dragging it to preview your presentation.

Occasionally you may want to customize the individual colors in a color scheme. For example, you may like a particular scheme, but want to modify only the background color. To do this, follow these steps from within the Color Scheme dialog box:
Click the Custom tab, displayed in Figure 6.12.
Click the Change Color button, which displays the Background Color dialog box. Figure 6.13 shows this dialog box.
Choose a color from the Standard tab or formulate a custom color on the Custom tab. The New preview box compares this new color with the Current color.
→ For more details on color selection dialog boxes, see "Specifying Colors,"
Click OK to return to the Color Scheme dialog box.
Click the Preview button to preview this new color in your presentation.
Click Apply to apply the color scheme to the current slide. Click Apply to All to apply the color scheme to the entire presentation.
Open the custom color tab again and click the Add As Standard Color Scheme if you want to add this scheme to your basic selections on the Standard tab (see Figure 6.14) .
You can now apply this new color scheme as you would any other color scheme.
