Before

PowerPoint's online meeting feature allows you to send images (such as this slide with a chart) to everyone else in the online meeting using a shared whiteboard. However, your colleagues can't do much with the slide after it arrives, because it's been turned into a picture.

After

By using features in Microsoft NetMeeting not found in PowerPoint's Online Meeting toolbar, you can get more out of online meetings. Once in an online meeting, start NetMeeting by choosing Start, Programs, NetMeeting from the Windows Start menu. You can then send your complete presentation (or any other file you wish, such as meeting minutes) to all meeting attendees using NetMeeting's Tools, File Transfer, Send File command.

You can also utilize an online meeting's "stealth" feature to quickly send out information: Whatever you copy into your Clipboard is automatically copied to the Clipboards of all meeting attendees, who can then paste the formatted information into locally running applications. Be sure you don't copy sensitive information onto your Clipboard without realizing this!
