Managing Stream Capabilities

Microsoft Stream is a video service that can be used to upload and share videos across your entire organization. Commonly, Stream is used to share content such as training videos, presentations, or town hall-style meetings with others. Since it is part of the family of products in the Microsoft Office 365 suite, you can integrate it with other workloads such as SharePoint and Teams to allow users to comment on videos or share them with other individuals and groups.

In this chapter, we're going to focus on integrating Stream with other Office 365 workloads. Specifically, we'll address the following topics:

  • Configuring Stream Channels to allow integration with Teams
  • Enabling Microsoft Stream video content in SharePoint Online and Yammer
  • Deploying, configuring, and managing Live Events
  • Configuring channel creation
  • Additional Stream admin features

However, before we get started with configuring Stream, let's take a look at an overview of Stream's structure and capabilities.
