Starting the event

Once you've reached the scheduled event time, you'll need to start preparing to launch the event. Let's get started:


You can only produce an event in Teams using the Teams desktop app. You cannot do this from the web app.
  1. Connect a webcam, speakers, and microphone to your computer if necessary and ensure they are in working order.
  2. Launch Teams, navigate to the event, and click Join:

  1. Enable the video and microphone options, as necessary, and click Join now:

  1. Select a video stream from a camera from the tray at the bottom of the screen, or select the Share button to share an app or the desktop. When you are ready to show your content to the meeting, click Send live:

  1. When you are ready to begin the broadcast, click Start and then Continue:

  1. When you are ready to end the event, click the End button. Confirm that you're ending the event by clicking the End live event button.
