You will need to remove the newsfeed web part from each My Site host if you have configured My Sites:

1. While logged in as a My Site host admin, navigate to any page hosted on the server and hover over the Newsfeed web part.
2. Select the box that appears to the right of the web part.
3. Select the Web Part tab, and then select Delete.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the Trending Hashtags web part.
5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the Followed Counts web part.
