After the terms have been created, you are now ready to associate them with a site for use with managed navigation:
- On the site, go to Site Settings | Look and Feel | Navigation.
- Under Global Navigation, select the radio button for Managed Navigation.
- Under Current Navigation, select the radio button for Managed Navigation.
- Under Managed Navigation: Term Set, browse to the term set that you want to use for managed navigation:
- Click OK.

As previously mentioned, term sets can only drive managed navigation for one site within a tenant, whether it is a global or site collection-level term set. If you want to configure managed navigation for multiple sites within a site collection, you will have to configure multiple term sets following these procedures and select a different term set for each site.
While it is important to know the concepts of Managed Navigation for the MS-300 exam, it isn't necessary to have configured it.
