A task list provides the ability to store information about what processing actions need to be performed for the task to be completed. We can think of the task list as a queue within each activity that delivers a list of actions to be processed by the workers. The task list is dynamically populated by the SWF service according to the input parameters.

For example, in our ten-step order the client might buy one or several items within the order process, and the SWF service will then populate the task list with one or several tasks for each of the activities defined in the workflow.
