Live support and chatbots

One way automation is coming into our everyday lives is with user support. Almost every service provider website nowadays has a support chat popup that tries to help us find the right solution. Usually the person chatting with us awkwardly offers help with a standardized sentence, and then when we respond with our question, we will usually be redirected to some general responses in the Q/A or the provider's knowledge base. But in some cases, these chat systems have been designed to be quite intelligent in the way they respond to questions; in some cases, it is getting hard to distinguish between a person with poor grammar skills and a chat bot.

The Lambda service is perfect for implementing chat bot logic as the service is highly scalable and can meet the needs of hundreds of thousands of users concurrently out of the box. Using Lambda as a chatbot backend is also very economical, as there are never any idle resources running when using Lambda.
