iPhone Surreal + Zen and the Art of iPhone Photography

For artist Mike Highmead, the iPhone and iPad are a virtual playground for his unconscious mind to express itself.

Three pictures of a landscape, a hand and an eye were processed using the infrared setting of the app ‘CameraBag’.

Using the app ‘Juxtaposer’, the landscape was opened as the background image, and the hand as the foreground image. The hand was cut out using the eraser tool, resized, rotated and positioned over the landscape.

Next, the eye image was opened as a new foreground picture and the same steps were followed.

Last, it was given a black frame using the app ‘Photogene’, to arrive at the final image.
