If the Redmine installation is not customized, it's a demo. Even Redmine.Org is customized (the ad on the sidebar, the plugins registry, and so on). All users prefer to customize the software they are using. Usually, Redmine users at least install some third-party plugins and a theme. But, in fact, all just mentioned can be described as installation and configuration. The real customization is what has been described in this chapter!

Some readers will, perhaps, never need what has been described here though (but, I believe the chapter was still interesting for them). But those who will, will be able to save time and money by doing the customization properly.
