Redmine is an issue tracking application, which means that the majority of its users deal with issues and, therefore, with the issue list. So having your issues organized is extremely important for good performance. That's where custom queries can help again.
Custom queries are described in detail in Chapter 4, Issue Tracking. Some samples of are also reviewed in the Project maintenance best practices section in Chapter 5, Managing Projects. So here is a time to mention them again (which proves how good is this feature).

You can subscribe to the customized issue list using the Atom link. Moreover, you don't need to save the custom query to be able to subscribe to it (just click on the Apply link and use the rendered Atom link)
