Whereas team sites are designed for everyone to contribute, communication sites have a different focus. Communication sites are geared toward presenting the information. You can use a communications site to showcase content, images, links to other sites, and reports.  You can see that the default communications site template allows you to format all this information in a modern layout, as you can see in the following screenshot:

In some situations, though, neither a team site nor a communication site may be appropriate to store some types of data, such as personal files. Next, we'll look at using ODFB to address that need.
