Collaboration

People collaborate and work with teams more now than they ever have. Studies performed by organizations such as McKinsey (https://www.mckinsey.com/industries/technology-media-and-telecommunications/our-insights/the-social-economy) show that social networking and collaboration lead to increased productivity and output.

In the business landscape, this collaboration happens with both internal and external users, from both a corporate and consumer perspective. Microsoft 365, as a SaaS model, provides services that enable this collaboration in all of these types of scenarios.

For example, organizations can store and share files with users both inside and outside the organization using Teams, OneDrive for Business, and SharePoint Online, or by delivering attachments to external individuals using consumer email systems. Other scenarios involve creating and coauthoring files across different Office clients and users or creating a common workspace for groups to collaborate with Microsoft Teams. These collaborative workspaces can reduce context switching while providing access to the relevant tools and experiences for chat, files, meetings, and calls in a single tool.
