Using the D700’s four Shooting Menu banks allows you a great deal of flexibility in how your camera operates. By selectively configuring each bank, you can essentially switch between four different cameras.

When you combine the use of the four Shooting Menu banks with the four Custom Setting banks (covered in the next chapter), you’ll have an expanded number of ways to configure your camera for specific, personally defined purposes.
