With the inclusion of the dust removal system on the FX sensor, Nikon had to revert to the 95% viewfinder frame for the D700, unlike the D300, which has a 100% viewfinder frame and a dust removal system but only a DX sensor; or the D3, which has a 100% viewfinder and an FX sensor but no dust removal system.
