To start creating your own project roles, you will first need to add the role as a Jira administrator, and then each project administrator will be able to add users to it. Perform the following steps to create a new project role:

1. Browse to the Project Role Browser page
2. Enter a unique name for the new project role in the Add Project Role section
3. Click on the Add Project Role button to create the project role

Once you add a new project role, it will appear for every project.
