Happy Anniversary

No matter how often you provide recognition, each employee has one special day when he or she should always be recognized, namely his or her anniversary with the company. By congratulating your employees when they reach these annual milestones, you are providing them with appreciation and recognition for an entire year’s worth of work, commitment, and performance. This type of recognition makes them feel more positive about all they have accomplished during this period, and it sets the stage for continued successful performance.

In addition, as the years increase, so should the recognition. For example, employees who reach their five-year anniversary should have a luncheon where they are given a framed plaque and a special reward, such as dinner at a great restaurant. With each five-year increment, the celebration and rewards should be more and more elaborate.
