The Awards Banquet

As the culmination for outstanding work throughout the year, one gratifying way to recognize your employees’ accomplishments is to hold an awards banquet. This is typically an off-site event that includes all employees, their significant others, board members, and other guests who are important to the company.

The event can include music and entertainment, but the real highlight is the presentation of awards. The first group to be recognized should be those employees who have earned other company awards during the year, such as Employee of the Month. The banquet can also be the time to give out other special company honors and awards, such as for productivity, safety, and suggestions. The highlight of the event is the announcement of the Employee of the Year.

All of the employees feel honored to attend these kinds of events, and if they are singled out for recognition as an individual or as part of a team, their pride and satisfaction soar.
