While employees may read these publications to get a better idea of changes and developments in the company, their interest can be piqued and peaked if you include special stories and photos that feature them.

You should also have a feature in the newsletter that singles out an employee or team for special recognition, and the criteria can be whatever you want, such as goal attainment, volunteer work, or lowest absenteeism. To build interest, excitement, and suspense, no one should know who is in this section until the newsletter is distributed.
