The Sky’s the Limit

When employees soar to new heights in terms of performance, one very fitting reward, whether in conjunction with other rewards or on its own, is a hot-air balloon ride or a helicopter tour. These are exciting rewards in and of themselves, and they work particularly well as an addon for other rewards, such as a weekend vacation that includes one of these rides.

Assignment

If any of your employees have reached new records in productivity, sales, or other criteria that are key benchmarks for success in your company, use your local directory or preferred search engine to find companies that provide helicopter tours or hot-air balloon rides. Pick the one that best fits your recognition program, and then reward your high-flying employees with the uplifting news. When they go airborne, be sure to encourage them to take lots of pictures.

Many of your employees have probably never experienced these adventures, which makes these rewards both unique and memorable. As years go by, employees may or may not remember much about a weekend vacation that was awarded to them; however, if that vacation included one of these rides, the employees will remember it as if it happened yesterday. Most importantly, they will feel as if they were just rewarded yesterday.

Epilogue

For employees whose performance is above and beyond all others, a most memorable reward is one that carries them above and beyond all others.
