It’s That Time of the Yearbook

When people hear the word, “yearbook,” they often think back to the days of high school or college, without realizing that yearbooks can be a terrific source of recognition in today’s workplace. Yearbooks are a great way to provide recognition and thanks to every employee for his or her hard work during the year.

A company yearbook is composed of hundreds of candid and posed photos of employees taken throughout the year. They show employees at their desks, clowning around, getting awards, attending meetings, relaxing on breaks, playing on company teams, and enjoying company events. Some of the shots may have already appeared online and on the Wall of Fame.

This yearbook can be a fairly simple booklet or something more elaborate. The only ground rule is that every employee should have at least one photo in it, and hopefully more. The yearbooks are then distributed to all employees at year-end, typically at a company party.
