Lync Server 2013 Virtual Machine Recommendations

This section details the virtual hardware requirements for Lync Server 2013 virtual guest machines. At the time of writing, Microsoft’s guidance for Lync Server 2013 is that virtual hardware should match physical hardware recommendations. All other variables being equal, you can expect around a 10% performance impact (so at least 10% reduction in supported users) on a virtual deployment.
