Customizing OneNote

In this book, we discuss the default behavior of OneNote—the way the program works if you don't change any of its settings. As with all Office programs, there are a number of adjustments—major and minor—that you can make to modify the program to suit your needs. The majority of these are available from the Options window, which you can open by clicking Options on the Tools menu.

Like the Options windows in other 2007 Microsoft Office system programs, the OneNote Options window presents a wide variety of settings divided into category-specific pages. You can control the appearance of the program window; change your user information; set the default font, file location, and backup frequency; change the way OneNote handles text and paragraph commands, Web notes, and printouts; control security settings; and much more. Investigate this window at your own convenience.
