Internal Network NAT

When discussing NAT, the conversation usually centers around the external-facing adapters of an Edge Server. It’s important to keep in mind that the internal-facing adapter on the Edge must be routable from the internal network. Unlike the external interfaces, it cannot be translated by NAT through a firewall under any circumstance. It can be a private address, but it must be completely routable from all server and client subnets without address translation. All clients on the internal network are allowed to communicate directly with an Edge Server’s internal-facing interface, and those connections cannot be translated. Using NAT between the internal-facing Edge adapter and the internal network will result in problematic audio/video calls.
