Getting Started on Your Checklist

If you have not yet completed your worksheets from Chapter 8, “Week 23: Putting It All Together,” do so now. You will need to reference them when you start creating your checklists. The more thoroughly you have filled out your worksheet from the previous chapter, the easier it will be to get LinkedIn done—potentially 15 minutes a day or less!

You will notice that I have made a column to delegate some of the tasks to an assistant or virtual assistant (VA), which will certainly save you time. If you do have an assistant or VA who is going to help you with your LinkedIn presence, then make sure they have read this book and will work with you setting up the checklist.

The following tables are collected into a single reusable checklist, available on the book’s download page: www.sybex.com/go/linkedinhour. Each table should be envisioned with check-off columns out to the right such as “VA or Me,” “To Do,” and “Done.”

Tables 9.1 through 9.8 show the following:

  • Profile and Network
  • Updates
  • Groups
  • LinkedIn Answers
  • Events
  • Polls
  • Applications
  • Company Profile

Tables 9.9 through 9.13 show the following:

  • Daily Action: Monday
  • Daily Action: Tuesday
  • Daily Action: Wednesday
  • Daily Action: Thursday
  • Daily Action: Friday
