Recycling Initiating

Helping others to recycle their action process involves defining, developing and initiating programs to achieve helpee goals. Although we have used these same initiating skills before, our responses are different each time we recycle the helping process. As helpers, we must stay “in tune” with the changing requirements that our helpees want and need to act upon.

When recycling skilled initiating we are simply using feedback to stimulate more effective acting. We may facilitate the recycling of previous actions goals, programs and steps, or new ones. Recycling acting by others is facilitated by recycling our initiating skills.
