Summary

In this chapter we’ve taken a look at the powerful native workflow support in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, including its use of Windows Workflow Foundation. We learned how to create custom workflow activities to extend the native workflow functionality, as well as how to register them both with pre-existing tools and programmatically. We then explored the workflow context and how we can use it to communicate back to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM services. This chapter concluded with three different workflow programming examples that show how to implement workflow assemblies to fulfill real-world business requirements.
