Physical realization of network configuration and channel configuration

This section walks though how configurations are physically realized in a blockchain network.

Logically, channel configuration (CCon1 and CCon2) seems to be a single configuration for the channels (C1 and C2, respectively). In practice, peers of the channel host a copy of the channel configuration. Logically, the network configuration, NC05, appears to exist as a single file for the blockchain network. However, in reality, it is replicated on all of the ordering nodes of the blockchain network.

When administrators configure networks and channels, they issue configuration transactions to the blockchain network. Such transactions are digitally signed by the organization (organization administrators), as defined in the policy files called modification policy (mod_policy).

mod_policy files are the policies within the network and channel configuration. For example, as you add more organizations to a blockchain, those organizations and their permissions are modified to mod_policy within the network configuration for the blockchain network.
