To use the script demonstrated in this recipe, you will need to have Nmap output results in the greppable format. This can be achieved by performing Nmap port scans and using the -oA option to output all formats or -oG to specifically output the greppable format. In the examples provided, multiple systems were scanned on a single /24 subnet and included multiple Windows systems running the SMB service. Additionally, this section will require a script to be written to the filesystem by using a text editor such as Vim or GNU nano.
