Burp Suite Proxy works to intercept or passively log traffic going to and coming from an attached browser because it is logically configured to sit between the browser and any remote devices. The browser is configured to send all the requests to Burp Proxy, and then Proxy forwards them on to any external hosts. Because of this configuration, Burp can both capture requests and responses en route, or it can log all communications going to and coming from the client browser.
