BeEF runs as a server on Kali Linux. Once we have started BeEF and deployed its hook, it is a matter of waiting for a browser to come across and load our hook.js file. This in turn will connect the exploited browser to our BeEF server. Once connected, BeEF has a number of functions that will allow us to collect information about our exploited target.
